The Martin Luther King Children Center is a non-profit, community-based organization that provides care to local families and children. We help students strengthen their literacy skills in a nurturing environment to ensure they thrive in school.
The Center was opened on June 11, 2004, and from then till now, we remain committed to helping local children from kindergarten through high school all across the greater Dawson community. We do this by running two essential programs – an After School Study Program and a Summer Day Camp program.
Our goal is to help secure a bright and promising future for our kids so that they can become future game-changers who thrive on making positive contributions to their community and beyond.
After School Study Program
Summer Day Camp Program
Effectively serving our local community, this After School Study Program is beloved by our students and parents alike and is the cornerstone of our programming.
Our popular Summer Day Camp runs for ten weeks starting in June. This program offers unique learning experiences that engage and educate students while allowing them to have fun.
SERVING IS AT THE
HEART OF WHAT WE DO
Our mission is to help our community by investing in the future of our children. We are committed to creating an exceptional and effective learning environment for school children from kindergarten through high school. By doing so, we help families create a future for themselves full of promise and independence while ensuring our children get the best start in life to become productive, successful members of society.
